Our school has a long history of international learning. We participate in two EU programmes to provide the children with a high-quality international dimension to their time at our school.
We are currently participating in two Erasmus+ projects:
- Learning Outdoors, Learning For Life with partner schools in Poland, Spain, Denmark and Sweden. This project is focused on pupil leadership and outdoor learning, and will run until August 2021.
- TBC with partner schools in Germany and Hungary. This project is focused on developing reading across our school and will run until August 2020.
Both of these projects have attracted EU funding, which enables us to take groups of children to visit our partner schools and to work collaboratively with their peers from other countries.
In addition to our Erasmus+ projects, the children in our Early Years Unit are also taking part in an eTwinning project called Season Explorers with schools from Croatia, Italy and Romania. Through this project, the children create artwork related to each f the four seasons. Their artwork is shared with partner schools, who also share their artwork with us. This means that the children are able create new pieces of art, inspired by the artwork from our partner schools. This project is purely online and does not involve travelling to the partner schools. The project will run until December 2020.
