We have two choirs at Lanchester EP Primary School, a senior and junior choir. We generally rehearse separately due to the numbers but we like to collaborate where possible. The choirs run throughout the school year which means we can get involved in many events both in and out of school.
We frequently perform in school at coffee afternoons, special assemblies and church. We also try to get out into the community, at Christmas we visit Lynwood House and Willowburn Hospice to sing for both residents and visitors. We have forged a link with the Lanchester Ladies Group and have been to perform for them at the Community Centre.
We have also attended special events such as Schools North East Patrons Dinner, Chinese New Year celebrations at Durham Town Hall, Durham Cathedral singing event and The Magic Flute opera in Darlington.
