Here at Lanchester, we place a huge importance on looking after our environment and making the world a better place. Historically, we have planted trees, created wildflower gardens, constructed bug hotels as well as inviting numerous visitors into the school to educate the children on our wonderful environment.
This year, the EcoRangers have conducted an audit of our school and designed posters reminding everyone about water consumption, recycling and the importance of turning devices/ lights off when they're not needed. The EcoRangers also used a range of waste materials to create small fairy doors for our forest school area. These will further enhance the outstanding facilities at Lanchester EP and help foster creative thinking and story telling when children are exploring the forest.
Finally, the EcoRangers had time to explore our forest school area themselves and they completed a range of tasks such as building a leaf kebab which will be used as food for insects and then they designed natural pictures using materials found on the floor of the forest.
